Risking Willpower

If you have no Supernatural merits, you can risk willpower 1/scene when rolling to take an action against something/someone supernatural or in self-defense instead of just spending it.

You gain 2 of:

  • Add 3 dice to pool
  • Exceptionally succeed on 3 instead of 5 successes on non-attacks, or add 1 lethal/bashing damage to attacks
  • Add 9-again, or 8-again if you have 9-again
  • Remove contested roll opponent’s 10-again

If you succeed, you don’t spend your willpower, and you gain 1 willpower on top of that. If you fail, it instead dramatically fails (but you get a Beat).
